Matured in a Portuguese Cabernet Sauvignon wine cask for 11 years (their oldest whisky)
Small batch - bottled at cask strength with an outturn of only 311 bottles.

Nose:
Boiled sweets – think cough candies. Cinnamon, cloves and woody spices along with rich caramelised raisins.
Pomander, red grape, malty chocolate biscuits, rye and caraway
Palate:
Rich dark fruits. Very woody, and the boiled sweets come through on the palate. Notes of raisins and apricots are also present.
Orange oil, raspberry and red apple. A good whack of nutmeg and five-spice follow on.

Soft smooth sweet pepper butter
