One of Scotland’s oldest blends (+150 years)

A smooth, well-balanced deluxe blend of malt and grain whiskies with the mellowness. Each whisky included has a minimum age of 12 years

John & William Hardie began their quest to create the perfect Blended Scotch Whisky more than 150 years ago. In 1861, using only the finest and rarest malts, they succeeded in creating what was considered to be a superior blend.

The name is taken from the famous Gothic novel written by Sir Walter Scott, redolent with family secrets, stories of hidden treasure and hopeless love. Today, the story continues with our range of premium Blended Scotch Whisky which is, quite simply, a cut above.

Unique Diamond-inspired shaped bottle (the easiest to knock over!)

AROMA - Peaty, earthy and solid, while in direct contrast displaying delicate fresh lemony lime characters. Nicely rounded and malty. + (raisin syrup toffee honey background-sherrie = Highland char sweet start but then dry)

PALATE - Mellow yet feisty, predominately malty, citrus flavours come through well with a gentle peaty touch. Toffee raisin

FINISH - Soft with a spicy tingle.

WATER – (doesn’t take a lot) nice smooth citrus edge though in centre of tongue!?
