Brightening up the Platform 2 to Filey, Seamer and Scarborough

An early offer to help improve the village station was made by Hunmanby Community Centre, who had 6 spare half-moon hanging baskets.

Below, planters ready to be put up.

Over the winter of 2017, staff at Orchard Farm Holiday Village, made brackets to attached the planters to the concrete posts

Below, a generous donation, from Reighton Nursery of over 1,000 Spring Bedding plants, gave an instant improvement to the station in the Spring of 2018. The half-moon baskets were filled with them.

In February 2022, Reighton Nursery kindly donated over 100 primulas to brighten up the flower tubs on the station platform. This gave an instant bit of colour to lift the gloom of the East Coast winter. By March it was enhanced by the Spring bulbs.
