For the 75th anniversary of V. E. Day on 8th May 2020, staff from the Carnforth depot of West Coast Railways clubbed together to fund nameplates 'V. E. Day 75th Anniversary' to be put on Brush Type 4 47245. This was done with the support and permission by West Coast Railways Company Limited who own the locomotive.
The locomotive was built at Loughborough, by Brush and put into traffic on 3rd December 1966. 'V. E. Day 75th Anniversary 47245 is often used on West Coast Railway's special charter trains, and sometimes visits Scarborough.
