Round 1 Mark, Laura, Rhoda and Erin beat Denny 8:4. Round 2 Mark, Alan Laura and Erin beat Grangemouth 9:3
Round 3 Mark, Alan, Laura and Erin beat Falkirk 8:3 to win the Stirlingshire Province Knock Out
2021
Round 1. In the Province Knockout on 20th Sept, B&S fielded a team of Mark, Alan, Gordon and Iain- skipped by Mark versus Falkirk Ladies. B&S proved to be too strong an opposition for Falkirk Ladies with the final score being B&S 8; Falkirk Ladies 2. B&S will now go on to meet Denny in the next round on 13th October. Good luck to the B&S team in the next round.
Round 2
B&S had a strong team skipped by Mark (of Mark, Alan, Gordon and Iain) who had previously been victorious over Falkirk Ladies to get to the Province Knockout semi finals v Denny.
Things were looking very promising when B&S took an early lead, winning by 2 shots on the first end with Mark producing a fabulous high speed port shot. Denny counter attacked with a 2 in the second end. Things started to unravel for B&S, when in the 3rd end Mark came to the head with Denny sitting with 6 shots! Quite a lot of Ailsa rock was put into motion to recover by B&S just losing a 1. Denny then took the next 3 ends with 1 shot in each end. In the 6th end B&S found their draw weight to stack up a good position to take a 3. So all square (5-5) going into the 7th and final end with Denny having the hammer. B&S missed a difficult promote, trying to lift the Denny shot stone. The final score was B&S 5; Denny 6. An exciting and close game.
2019
A win against Denny took us through to the second round on 16th October.
We lost to Torbrex in the second round.
