7th October 2022

MINUTES OF A COMMITTEE MEETING OF COLDEAST DRIVE RESIDENTS’ ASSOCIATION

HELD ON FRIDAY 7 OCTOBER 2022 AT 12 ROTHSCHILD DRIVE AT 4 P.M.

PRESENT:  Allan Duncan (Chair), Diana Hindle, Sue Clifford, and Stuart Kimber

APOLOGIES:  Apologies were received from Tony Amber

BEST WISHES:  All present sent their best wishes and thoughts to Tony and Carol.

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:  The Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and agreed

SOCIAL:  It was agreed to hold our next Social Event at The Ship Inn on Monday 7th November, starting at 7 p.m.   Once Diana has confirmed availability of the venue and reviewed to menu, we will promote the Event on Admirals Wood Facebook and by posting invites through letterboxes.

THE MANSION:  Stuart gave a full report of the meeting he attended at The Mansion.   As feelings appear to be running very high, it was agreed that Stuart would contact the General Manager, whom he has met, to keep updated on their plans.   He would also press for some answers to the suggestions he had to help alleviate the parking problems.  He would report back on his progress.

COMMUNAL GARDENING:  Stuart gave a detailed report on his meetings with the new gardening company – John O’Connor.   He highlighted the fact that ERMC had not provided them with effective ‘maps of the Estate’ nor shown them around the estate. Stuart has undertaken both these actions himself – for which the Committee expressed their thanks. He will be contacting the local Manager again and will try to arrange a site visit with the foreman (if there is one).   It was agreed to allow the company more time to ‘settle in’ as they had not been given the full information from the start.

COMMUNICATION WITH ERMC:  Allan reported that communication with ERMC was almost at a halt.  It was agreed that our priority is to get Coldeast Drive adopted and ensure the formation of on new Management Company.

FORMATION OF A MANAGEMENT COMPANY: Allan reported that he had made positive contact with John Byrom of Homes England and that they would be meeting up in late October/early November.   He will then give the Committee a full update.

DOGS OFF LEAD ON THE ESTATE:  Diana asked if there were any rules or signs to ensure that dogs are kept on lead on certain parts of the estate.   Allan said he would enquire of our local Councillors.

NEXT MEETING:  It was agreed to hold the next meeting Thursday 10th November at 12 Rothschild, commencing 4 p.m.
