MINUTES OF A COMMITTEE MEETING OF COLDEAST DRIVE RESIDENTS’ ASSOCIATION
HELD ON MONDAY 16TH JANUARY 2023 AT 54 ROTHSCHILD DRIVE AT 2.30 P.M.
PRESENT: Diana Hindle, Stuart Kimber, Sue Yeomans and Tony Amber
APOLOGIES: Received from Allan Duncan and Tom Middleditch
MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING: The Minutes of the previous meeting were reviewed and agreed.
SOCIAL: Diana reported that she had not booked any venue as yet, for the next social. The Hook holds a quiz on Thursday evenings so may not be suitable. Various venues were discussed - with Strawberry Fields, Locks Heath put forward as a suitable alternative. Sue also suggested The Bold Forester. Somewhere with a private section would be preferable. Diana agreed to research further and come back to the committee by email.
THE MANSION: Diana said she has just emailed the Mansion but has not heard anything yet. She will continue to contact them with regards to furthering a good relationship with them and a view to a potential future Garden party or similar this year. Stuart passed Tom Chapman’s business card to Diana.
COMMUNAL GARDENING: Stuart led a discussion around the gardening company – John O’Connor. Stuart explained that there will be little work completed in January and February – as per the contract. It was agreed to keep the effective communication going and monitor the gardeners’ progress. Stuart suggested that we should each note, between our committee meetings, what work we have seen the gardeners complete and when, so that we are more fully informed.
COMMUNICATION WITH ERMC: C/Fwd. to next meeting
FORMATION OF A MANAGEMENT COMPANY: A general discussion took place around the future Management Company structure and purpose. Allan to update the committee at the next meeting.
AOB: It was agreed to host the next meeting on a Friday at 2PM to help accommodate Tom’s timetable. It was also agreed to schedule meetings on a month-by-month basis, to fit in with all committee members’ needs.
NEXT MEETING: It was agreed to hold the next meeting on Friday 24th February at 44 Rothschild, commencing 2 p.m.
