MINUTES OF COMMITTEE MEETING OF COLDEAST DRIVE RESIDENTS’ ASSOCIATION

HELD ON MONDAY 7TH FEBRUARY 2022 AT 44 ROTHSCHILD DRIVE

PRESENT: Allan Duncan (Chair), Tony Amber, Diana Hindle, Stuart Kimber

APOLOGIES:  No apologies for absence were received

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:  The notes of the 2 Zoom Meetings were reviewed and confirmed

WELCOME:  Allan welcomed Aileen and Sue who were sitting in on the Meeting.

SERVICE CHARGE:  It was agreed that Allan would use his position as a Shadow Director to ascertain the exact financial position on the outstanding Service Charge payments. Also, to establish the process of charging and collecting the Service Charge – as there appears to be some problems within this area.

Aileen raised a number of problems regarding here Service Charge and other residents within her block of flats. Stuart agreed to review her paperwork once she had sent it to him.

COMMUNAL GARDENING:   Stuart reported that he had studied the new Gardening Specification and he believed it was a more sensible and practical approach.

Allan was asked to find out the exact position on the tendering process and report back.

MAINTENANCE OF COLDEAST DRIVE AND OTHER ROADS:  Allan would, once again, chase ERMC and Millers to get an update on this work which is long overdue.

SOCIAL:  Diana reported that she had met with Dan from the Mansion and had booked the Social Event for 14th March. She was waiting for Dan to confirm the price, with an option of two meals (plus one vegan). It was agreed to restrict the invitations to Members of CDRA only (i.e., not AW! Residents). Once the prices had been agreed the details would be publicised on FB etc – with all bookings to be made via Diana.

Diana had also agreed a ‘Street Party’ with Dan on the Mansion Grounds on 4th June. Open to all Admirals Wood Residents – full details are being drawn up.

CDRA WEBSITE/MEMBERSHIP:  The website is fully working and received over 100 visits in January. The ‘business cards’ are now being distributed by Committee Members to encourage more residents to join the CDRA.

AGM:  As ERMC are unable to attend any meeting on 28 February, it was agreed that Allan would contact them and invite them to attend on 7th March. Once the date has been confirmed – Allan would ask Sean Woodward and our local Councillor – Simon to attend.

NEXT MEETING:  It was agreed to hold a short Zoom Meeting prior to the AGM, once the date has been confirmed.
