MINUTES OF A COMMITTEE MEETING OF COLDEAST DRIVE RESIDENTS’ ASSOCIATION

HELD ON FRIDAY 5th AUGUST 2022 AT 44 ROTHSCHILD DRIVE AT 3.30 P.M.

 

PRESENT:  Allan Duncan (Chair), Diana Hindle, Tony Amber, Sue Clifford, and Tom Middleditch

APOLOGIES:  Apologies were received from Stuart

MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING:  The previous Minutes were approved

SOCIAL: It was agreed that Diana would try to arrange the CDRA Dinner at The Mansion on Monday 3rd October if possible

THE MANSION:  It was agreed to keep a ‘watching brief’ on the parking on Coldeast Drive and Rothchild Drive when future event were held The Mansion and, if the problems persisted, a meeting with the owners would be arranged to discuss workable solutions.

COMMUNAL GARDENING:  Allan reported that John O’Connor had been won the gardening contract for AW2 – the AW1 contract remains with The Rangers.                                           Both Tony and Allan had met with the new gardeners briefly and had made it clear that Stuart and Tony were the Committee Members responsible for ensuring the standards required for the contract. It was felt that the initial ‘visit’ was encouraging, but Stuart and Tony were to make direct contact with the company, who are based in Fareham.             Tony stated that the hedge on No2 Rothchild should be cut to the same height as that specified for No 1 for the same safety reasons.                                         

COMMUNICATION WITH ERMC:  Allan reported that the only Board Director he could trace was Bruce Voss of Homes England. He had spoken to his office in Bournemouth who promised to ask Mr Voss to contact him on his return from holiday on 1st August. Tom said he had asked to link with him on LinkedIn but had received no response. Allan would report back on the result of his hoped-for conversation with Mr Voss. Allan had contacted Ian, and they are now working together on establishing the fact that they are both Shadow Directors of the Main Board.

Allan was asked to contact ERMC to establish the current financial situation – including current debtors and al when we will see the suggested Service Charges

Tony reported that ERMC have been made aware of the damage to the locks on the bollards, and they told him that they were contacting Millers. Sue said that she would ask Steve to see if the damaged lock were repairable; if it were not, Allan would ask ERMC to provide a replacement.

It was suggested that we could contact residents on the new estates being built by Millers to find out how their Management Company is operating.
