Imagine, if you will...

8 billion people on this planet, with approximately 7 billion starving across the world...

Farmers being told to waste and bury food, that the supermarkets agent's say are not looking aesthetically pleasing to their eyes.and now n some states and countries they are told to water the crops less.

We could stop world hunger over night, if farmers were allowed to sell instead of being forced to bury, which will also reduce the cost and higher prices.

It is all well and good, to use apps like Olio etc, as a means to prevent food waste, yet many do not need the extra food for themselves, in contrast to many who need the food for survival.

Many folk on apps like Olio that collect food from the FWH's do not need the food, as they can afford to buy their own.

Whereas there are many folk trying to get food to survive, yet they are met with delays when placing requests, due to adverts, advertising Olio, an app that they are already in, unless they pay a subscription to remove such adverts.

Yet there still be a time delay after so many requests for food are made regardless of paid subscription or not.

There are homeless folk, and folks who have roofs over their head, equally suffering everyday, due to lack of food etc.

Yet bureaucratic red tape, say members are only permitted to only get up to 100 food items per month on Olio.

Plus if it's past use by date, but perfectly good, yet members are not allowed to distribute food items past the use by date of perfectly fit for consumption.

whereas some members justify their greed by saying things like, at least is has not gone to landfill.

FYI:

I put a shorter version of this blog on Olio, and within 15 minutes it was removed, which speaks clear volumes, of hitting the truth to those in greed rather than those in actual need.

What suggestions do you have from experience and or observation, can you come up with to please help improve this situation...??
