Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) is a NHS working group: a team of women and their families, commissioners and providers (midwives and doctors) working together to review and contribute to the development of local maternity care. We are made up of Ashford & St Peter's Hospital maternity service users and staff, and other stakeholders; working together to improve our maternity service.
Asylum Stories: Oral History Archive
We are a voluntary group developing an oral history archive of personal stories from refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. We will work with a UK university to store the archive, while this website seeks to promote our projects. These include Room at the Inn, which focuses on people with experience of living in asylum hotels.
Bowers Gifford and North Benfleet is a small semi-rural village located east of Basildon between Pitsea and Thundersley. The place-name 'Bowers Gifford' is first mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The Parish Council was established in 2010 and currently has six Parish Councillors. A not for profit organisation run by unpaid directors who manage and maintain local grounds for a mainly elderly community. We also help residents with any day to day tasks, requests or heavy loads etc. We have an excellent team of gardeners who help to keep the grounds looking it’s best for all our residents and visitors to enjoy.
