Are you interested in offering your time to support refugees and people seeking asylum in Kingston?
We are currently recruiting for an exciting new role: Social Media Volunteer
We want to grow our social media presence so we can operate in this space successfully, reaching out to people who may need support, encouraging support from the community and raising awareness of our work and impact. If you are interested in applying, please read more about the role below and make an online application.
We are also recruiting: Creative Mentors
RAK Creative Mentors share their knowledge and skills in a particular creative field with our clients to help them develop their own artistic talents. This hugely rewarding exchange provides a sense of personal development, a mindful outlet and a skill that could potentially be used in a professional capacity through our online store or within the context of their own entrepreneurial efforts.
Volunteer Drivers:
This volunteering opportunity provides our team with valuable support in the delivery of our fundraising efforts through the RAK online store.
Our volunteer recruitment process starts by expressing an interest using the online form below. This is followed by an interview (online at the moment) and an Induction.
For all other roles, we will be advertising opportunities in September 2021 - If you would like to express an interest now, we will be in touch in September 2021.
"Based on various life experiences in the UK and Korea, I provide interpreting services to North Korean defectors whose English is limited.
As the atmosphere here is very friendly, I really enjoy working and volunteering at RAK.
All staff at RAK work really hard and show infinite patience to clients who are mostly desperate due to their difficult situations.
Volunteering nourishes me - a healthy boost, self-confidence and life satisfaction.
Accordingly, dedicating spare time as a volunteer helps people in need and myself as well"
Jongnmoon Ko, Volunteer Interpreter
