Counselling

Our offices are closed - we are delivering Counselling on the phone or online.

We provide a free counselling service for our clients who are suffering from emotional distress as a result of trauma and displacement.

How we can help

We have a fully qualified counsellor who is available to provide individual face to face counselling.

How to access our counselling service

Before seeing a counsellor you need to register at Refugee Action Kingston. Once you are a registered client, you can make an appointment to see an adviser who will then refer you to the counsellor. See below for details on how to make an appointment.

Help outside of office hours

If you suffer from mental health problems, you should tell your GP (doctor) as they are the best people to help you.

If it’s an emergency then you should telephone the emergency services on 999 or visit your local hospital.

If you would like to talk to someone about how you’re feeling, you can call The Samaritans at any time and for free on 116 123. Alternatively, you can visit the local branch here in Kingston and speak to someone face to face. Click here for more details and opening hours.

How to book an appointment

We are open for appointments Monday - Friday between 10am and 3pm.
