This part of the website is intended to record Emergency events and the procedures needed to deal with them.
Local Authorities and Parish Councils have to publish Community Resilience Plans containing plans and procedures to deal with emergencies, such as floods, power cuts, blizzards and the fires on Thursley and Hankley Commons:

The Surrey County Council "Surrey Prepared" website contains comprehensive information on individual and community preparedness and response to emergencies. It includes a page with links to specific information on what you can do personally and as a group to keep safe when things go wrong.

In future we may have to deal with other crises and emergencies from external sources, such a major cyber attacks, loss of satellite signals, disruption of transport, communications, infrastructure or national services such as water supply or the NHS. We have received warnings of such events from the Intelligence and Defence Services as well as threats of direct action from Russia as retaliation for the supply of long range weapons that ahve been used by Ukraine in the war.
