Bridge Field in Summer
The field in Summer. In very dry weather water supply is a problem.

Elstead Bridge Field was originally Elstead's common field, called Elstead Bridge Mead or Meadow. It was divided into strips owned partly by the Manor of Farnham, partly by the Manor of Wanborough. Later ownership passed through several hands until in July 2016 it was bought by a speculative developer for £80,000.

The field is part of the River Wey flood plain. In very wet weather part or all of it floods to a depth of up to a foot and in dry weather it becomes parched and has no piped water supply. It is not suitable for development or long term grazing. due to frequent heavy flooding.
