Our next exhibition celebrates Camberley's role as the Birthplace of Motocross. The first race, called Scrambling, took place on 29th March 1924. It was very popular and adopted across the country. Also very popular in France where the off ride motorcycle sport was called 'Motor Cycle Cross Country'; the French shortened it to Motocross. Now an international and popular sport. The exhibition is part of a number of Centenary Celebrations.  Please click here for further information on that first historic race - History of Motocross100
