Cocktail and Charcuterie

Saturday the 16th of November was cocktail and charcuterie night at Ford Village Hall. The event was sold out! 35+ plates of charcuterie were sold by ticket only. Andrea doing a fine job in ensuring those who showed even a passing interest in the event received a Sum Up payment link immediately. The fully licensed bar did a roaring trade in cocktails and other adult beverages. The "Saturday Night in a Glass" being the most popular cocktail on the menu. (Effectively a Long Island Tea). The most complicated cocktail - "The Ford Bay Sour" also proved frustratingly popular. The hall; decorated in cocktail night lights and ceiling decorations, opened its doors at 7pm. The room quickly filled and as the cocktails were consumed the noise and buzz of happy conversations bubbled up into a crescendo. The last patrons of "Club Ford" stumbling out into the darkness after 1am. The event was judged a great success and created some vital funds in the committee's efforts to keep the lights and heating on. Unfortunately I was so busy behind the bar I failed to take one single photograph on the night!! It was great to see some new faces in the hall for this social occasion and to see people who had brought family members or had come from distant parts of our wider community. Hopefully during the festive month of December we will see even more locals at the hall to share good cheer.
