Meeting held 27th June
Well Neil Harvey who runs the garden centre at our local builder’s merchants did us proud for a talk with a difference. He does not purport to being a professional speaker, but was still able to put across to us how he came to be in this position; his training at Kew; working for a large garden in Central London to gain more experience, and his love of unusual plants especially Canna Lilies. He explained how difficult it was to compete with the large supermarkets but felt that his plants were bigger, better and well loved. Please support Neil and visit him at Hitchcock & King Station Yard Ashford. I gave the vote of thanks and Neil helped Eileen judge the competitions.
