It was with much sadness that Eileen & I reported the sudden and unexpected death of our sister Dee who died in the West Middlesex Hospital on 6th April. Not only was she our sister but the Society’s Treasurer and had carried out this role for several years.
The funeral was held at the South West Middlesex Crematorium on Wednesday May 1st at 12.40 p.m. and was very well attended with over 150 people. Dee knew an awful lot of people not only through our society but as a member of the Spelthorne Natural History Society and her love of bell ringing, where she used her expertise to ring at church towers all over SW Middlesex and beyond. The simple service with a floral casket, and music from Buddy Holly, Vaughan Williams, and the Goons reflected her interest in diversity.
A memorial service was held in her memory at St Mary's Church in Bedfont on Tuesday 21st May
She will be sorely missed
