I heard a bird sing in the dark days of December, A magical thing and sweet to remember
We are nearer to Spring than we were in September, I heard a bird sing in the dark days of December – Oliver Herford
December 2019
Dear member,
Meeting held 28th November
Déjà vu for us all as Keith returned at short notice to give us his talk on dowsing part 2. For those who did not come last month this was an experience to behold and everyone seemed to enjoy the mysteries of the art. Using what I’ll call the ‘yes/no interlude’ which you must determine before you dowse for anything, we asked ourselves if our names were correct by using the rods. Eileen and Joyce weren’t sure if they were Eileen and Joyce at first but soon got the hang of it.
This time Keith told of his experiences at Ham House where his fellow diviners were asked to locate some statues in the grounds. The statues were there of course, but not where they were expected to be. It transpired that during the war the whole garden was dug up and had been reconstructed - the diviners had found the correct spots. On top of that, they discovered that a set of steps leading straight off the parterre/terrace were in fact originally constructed in a more pleasing semi-circular design.
We were told about good and bad energy and how to dowse with crystals, mainly amethyst and rose quartz, very useful against the harmful radiation given off by mobile phones, and even bus-passes as illustrated with our guinea pigs, Marilyn & Mary. We’ve all heard of Prince Philip and the tree huggers, and Prince Charles talking to his plants, but there really is something magical about treating your plants with respect.
Keith answered questions and judged the competitions once again with Barbara’s help. Ron gave Keith a lovely VOT where he told us of Barbara’s use of a large piece of rose quartz positioned near her pot plants – no wonder she has such beautiful specimens.
We welcomed 2 visitors – thank you for coming.
