AGAR

Annual Governance and Accountability Return

As required by the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015, the Local Audit (Small Authorities) Regulations 2015 and the Transparency Code for Smaller Authorities, the Parish Council is required to publish an Annual Governance and Acconutability Return (AGAR).  The AGAR is thus produced annually and routinely comprises the following documents:

  • Certificate of Exemption.
  • Annual Internal Audit Report.
  • Section 1 - Annual Governance Statement.
  • Section 2 - Accounting Statements.
  • Analaysis of Variances.
  • Bank Reconciliation.
  • Notice of Public Rights.
