This is very welcome. I have had a play on the test site.

The first thing I noticed is that my albums appear in a bit of a weird order on the test site so I guess there will be a reordering of everyones albums when it goes live. This might be useful to avoid.

The second thing I noticed is that not all the photo album name is being displayed. It seems now restricted to a single line whereas the old albums could go multiline. This will effectively force short names for album titles.

For me the biggy would be adding the ability to have video clips to albums so it becomes a media album rather than just photos.

Thanks as ever for all your work.

Graham

Hi Graham, thanks for the feedback!

Folders are now manually reorderable rather than forced into alphabetical order (Edit Folder from the three dots menu). However, as you say, this meant that folders were appearing jumbled up (i.e., in the order in which things were created). I've now done a one-time fix on this to set the sorting on all existing photo folders. From now on you'll need to order them yourself as you see fit!

I've also adjusted the CSS so that we get more lines on the album names again.

The thing about video clips is worth exploring a bit more. Are you thinking that you'd like to upload videos into e-voice directly (noting the max 100MB file size limit), or would you want to show YouTube (or other already hosted videos) as part of an album?

I can see there is value in either option, but would like to understand what you had in mind. The upload method is probably better if you have short/small videos that you want to add, but the YouTube option could be good if you want big videos with the added editing/hosting that YouTube offer.

Thanks!

Joe

Thanks Joe, that looks good.

In terms of video, I store the originals on YouTube due to hitting the file size limit when I was storing them in the assets library.

Hi Graham,

This might be your lucky day!

I've now also added the ability to add YouTube videos into photo albums (still test site only for now). Go to Add Video in an album and add the YouTube video URL or video id in there.

It seems to work for me, e.g., in the Kittens album, and in the Photo Album includelet.

Thanks

Joe
