I enabled the noticeboard function under applications and as another page was using the url '/news' i made the url for the noticeboard '/news-' thinking I could change it afterwards once I had transferred the information from the news page over to the noticeboard.
I realised when I was finished that I was unable to - so I changed disabled and then re-enabled the noticeboard after deleting the news page and changed the url for the noticeboard to '/news'. However, now when I go to delete or unpublish or edit a post under the noticeboard I get a page does not exist notification because it is still trying to find the url '/news-' even though I have changed this. When I added a new post to the noticeboard and tried to edit this, this happens as well. As you can see below:
/websitename/news-/entry-delete?return_url=/websitename/news/&entry_id=55967860
You will have noticed that the URLs did correct themselves eventually - probably the next day?
This is because the URLs were being cached internally, and weren't flushing when the application was re-enabled on a different URL.
I have now made a change that will mean the cache is flushed much more quickly, so if you rename things again it shouldn't be too much of a problem!
Thanks
Joe
