The Winslow Bowls website has been set up as a public site.

I am intending to use discussions, polls, classified ads, and need to control access using permissions. I am able to chamge main settings and app permissions.

Probably a basic question, but how do I differentiate between members and registered users. I have not found a way to see a list of registered users.  Is this possible?

Members list is easy to see and control by invitation. But for public who request membership I see your mail 'A user has requested membership of your site'. Where do the 'waiting approval' requests appear.

Is it that another administrator is actioning the request before I see it (I hope not) but am I able to view 'refused' requests?

Please advise

Hi John,

Registered Users is an option in Permissions, and refers to all signed in users anywhere on Voice, who have not opted to join your site. You can't see a list of these users anywhere. So really for permissions purposes it would be unusual to treat these users any differently from The Public (i.e., not-logged-in users).

You'll see users awaiting approval on the Members Page too - there will be a "Needs Approval" filter in the left column. If there are no users awaiting approval then this will not show.

You also can't see a list of users who have been denied membership. We don't keep this information in the database.

There's more information about members in the documentation, here.

Thanks

Joe
