Anchors actually seem to work quite well for me in the new wysiwyg!

You can go to Content > Anchor... to create an anchor anywhere on the page. This shows a little marker in the editor which you can select then go to Content > Anchor... again to edit if you want to. The marker isn't visible when you publish the page.

Then you can go anywhere else on the page and select some text to make a link, and the anchor should appear as being available to you in the Anchors popdown.

Thanks

Many thanks Joe, agreed all working now, didn't see the option in Contents, was looking in link.

Hi Joe

I've created a couple of anchors but I don't see the Anchors popdown when I select some text and click the link icon. All I see in the insert/edit link window is URL. What am I doing wrong? I can find no information about anchors in the documentation.

Thanks

John

For the anchors popdown to appear then the anchor needs to be in the same page as the link you're trying to create. This seems to work for me if I try it now.

If you want to link across pages using an anchor, then you would need to create the anchor in the target page, like "myanchor" then in the source page, add the link as usual, and add "#myanchor" onto the end of the URL.

Thanks

Joe

Thanks for your reply. The anchor and link are on the same page, so I don’t understand why it’s not working. I seem to recall coming up against this before but I can’t remember the solution. I’ve resolved it by using the full URL - I just couldn’t remember how to create the URL, so thanks for the advice.
