1: Applications under a sub page

I am trying to add a discussion page and a blog application within a private area.  I want it to be under a sub-page of the private area but every time I go into applications it takes me to the home page of the area and places the application under that.

Is there a way I am missing of putting it under the sub-page?

If you create a Private Area in a site ("create private area" on applications page) then you'll find that if you go into the Private Area to admin it then you can enable discussions/blogs in there and they will be visible only to members.

i.e., if you create a Private Area, you can then enable the apps within the public pages of the site and/or within the Private Area.
