At least some of our ordinary members are receiving the messages posted on the support forums which are, of course, only of interest to administrators.

How can they opt out of receiving theses emails?

Anyone can change their own email preferences, choosing which types of email they will receieve from the system. To do this go to Your Account from the e-voice homepage (or in fact most pages on the site), then go to Email Preferences.

Or go straight there with this link: http://e-voice.org.uk/notifications/

From there users can turn off notifcations from the support forums if they wish.

Joe, apologies for replying to an old discussion but I cannot see how to start a new one.

I am trying to qwell unwanted emails to the admin user (webmaster@) and I am unable to save changes to Email Preferences (in either chrome or edge).

I am also trying to establish why e-voice emails other than contact form messages are being received by the email address defined in the contact form config.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Please ignore my last paragraph - it was a mistake in one of our own email distribution lists.

Main issue still unresolved though... as webmaster@ (an e-voice admin user) I am unable to save changes to its Email Preferences.  The changes I make are reverted to previous settings when Save is clicked.

Thanks

Hi Steve,

I'm also experiencing this same thing. I try to change my email notification preferences and it reverts back to the original when I try to save.

This does look like a bug as other small charities are reporting this to us.

Thanks for the report! I've implemented a fix for this (on the test site) that I will put live with the other changes at the weekend.

The bug is that the notifications pages isn't saving the settings with custom domain names - works fine if you do it from the e-voice.org.uk domain.

Thanks

Joe
