Ellesmere Bowling Club

Welcome

The bowling green at Ellesmere in north Shropshire stands on the ancient motte & bailey castle site high above this ancient market town. The view from it is a full 360 degrees across the beautiful countryside of the Welsh Marches, the Cheshire Plain, North Staffordshire and, the local North Shropshire, “Mini Lake District.”

The club has a number of teams and competes in the Whitchurch and District Bowls League, The Oswestry and District Bowls League, The Barlows Over Sixty Bowls League  and the Wrexham and District Bowls League.

New members are always welcome.

New Clubhouse Appeal

The Club's current aim is to replace the existing, small clubhouse on the lower green with a larger, warmer, and more welcoming space for members and visitors.
