Dear runner
I’ve drawn up some final details pertinent to the Langley Park 5k summer series.
Directions. Langley Park can be approached from the A412 Denham to Slough. If travelling from Slough turn at the crooked Billet roundabout at Iver Heath and come back on yourself for a short distance.
Remember the start time is 7pm. It is a one lap course on well made tracks through the park and woods. A course map can be viewed on the website. A link to it can be accessed from this fabian4 site.
Parking is free to the runners. Do not collect a ticket at the pay machine. Collect a temporary pass from registration as you collect your bib number. If you already hold a Bucks Country Parks annual parking pass do not collect a temporary pass as well. The race funds have to pay for all passes used.
Your bib number is yours for the series. Please bring it each time. If you have entered only the first race and decide subsequently to run race 2 or race 3 advise registration that you already have a race number.
This is a race series and category awards will be given at the conclusion of race 3.
Catering will be available until 8pm and the toilets will also remain open until then.
If you decide to go for a warm-down run after you finish please be back by 8pm as the car park will be locked shortly after.
I remind you that Langley Park is known for its rhododendron garden. For this first race it should be in full bloom - bring your camera.
In order to get the race away prompt please be early for race number collection. It is not possible to serve you all in the last 15 minutes.
All the race marshals out on the course are from the ‘Friends of Langley Park’ volunteer group who work with the rangers to kept this little gem of a park clean and user friendly. The registration and finish team are colleagues from Black Park parkrun. In both cases we are grateful for the time given.
Enjoy your run.
