i finally got round on using the Filtered List Categories feature (thank you enabling the feature Joe). I used it on the Older News page on the Sutton Mencap website to categorise the separate types of news; https://www.suttonmencap.org.uk/news/older-news/. Sorry I forget who said on the Voice meeting last week that they also use the Filtered List Categories for categorising news, but thank you, as that actually is a good use for it. However as there is only two types of news page, Fundraising and Meetings, I used custom code to make radio buttons that would deselect the currently selected button when the other button is selected, as well as a show all link that only appears when your on a category page. I also used the preserve scroll div class on the radio buttons links as well.
