This is the "secret" Content Categories feature - it's hidden really because it isn't widely useful and I don't want to confuse site admins with a slightly half-baked feature that doesn't add much value on most sites.

I have enabled it on your site - and test site - so you can experiment with it.

You will now see a Content Categories option in the Content menu of the site. In here you can define the categories, and then assign pages to suitable categories.

You then use the Filtered Item List Categories includelet to create the filters for your content.

I'd be interested in your feedback on the Categories feature - e.g., how could it be made more useful across the entire site. Useful enough to enable the feature for everyone!

(e.g., maybe Filtered Item List could somehow incorporate content from other apps, such as the photo album, and allow you to preview/filter on that too, rather than just content items)

Once you've created some categories they should appear as checkboxes when you create/edit any content page.

You had defined the types of categories, but no categories within them. I've now added a few so you can see it in action.

You'll see the checkboxes on the Edit tab of pages, and you can go into Content Categories to put your real categories in!

I've reworked my archives section to use categories and I find it a really pleasing way to filter what is a large archive of prior choir concerts. I was using Accordian to make the size of the content more manageable but this didn't work so well when you try to search for content. The search works but by default the Accordian wasn't expanded so you could never find the content you were looking for. The category method works much better.
