To be honest I hadn't come across json-ld until you mentioned it!

Are you primarily looking into this for getting richer data results in web searches, or do you have other uses for it?

It looks like I could have e-voice automatically add json-ld markup to pages in all sort of places - basic things like organisation name and so on, but also events, item lists, galleries, carousels, breadcrumbs, etc.

It probably makes more sense for e-voice to add this automatically - because as you suggest, the only other way to do it really is through Raw HTML includelets, which would need bespoke editing for every page (and wouldn't work on application pages like photo galleries etc).

Are there some json-ld entities in particular that you are keen to have?

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your reply.  My thinking is that it will allow AI systems interpret content better rather than use inference, improving accuracy and avoiding misinterpretation.

Automatic JSON-LD would be good - perhaps some kind of selector - for these types

  • Organization
  • Event
  • JobPosting
  • Article / NewsArticle
  • FAQPage
  • Service
  • WebPage
