I'm setting up our new website, and have just setup our first member as a contributor. However when that user is logged in the relevant 'add' button doesn't appear for several apps although I've ticked the contribute permission for that user for blog, news, notice board, discussion,  faqs.   But for the events, files and photos apps the buttons are shown and seem to operate in a way one might expect.

Have I missed something?

Oddly, the 'add a post button' appears on the discussion in the members area, but not on the public site.
