Please help! I've deleted the entire News page by mistake including all the contents. They're currently sitting in the Trash. I think I've made a new News page on the website - it's appearingin the menu along the top of the page although in the wrong position so I need to know how to move that.

But the most important thing is to reinstate all the news items. I cut one, following the advice, and pasted it onto the new ews page but nothing appeared. I've tried a number of times.

I haven't got the courage to cut the entire News page from the Trash in case I lose it all.

What do I need to do?

Thanks, in anticipation!

Cutting and pasting from trash to wherever it came from is the accepted proper way to restore a deleted folder. If you cut and paste the entire folder from trash it'll move all the sub-items back too.

You should however first delete your new "temporary" news folder - because if you paste another news folder next to this then you'll end up with "news" and "news-2" I think.

If you really don't want to do this then I can do it for you. But I think you have little to be afraid of really!

Thanks

Joe

Thank you Joe, I took a deep breath, did as you advised and it's all sorted!
