Hi Clare

can I suggest that you try something on the "test-site" (put " :4430 " at the end of the domain name on your normal url) i.e https://e-voice.org.uk:4430/winslowdistrictramblersgroup/.  If you haven't used the test-site it will be a mirror of your published website, but you can experiment without any consequences to your main site.

Once in your test site go to "Manage Website".  Then go to the "Look &Feel" tab.  Click on the "option" of your current theme and then scroll down to "Admin NavBar Position". By default the dropdown menu will probably be set to "Top"; change this to "None" and save.  Logout of the test website (close your browser) and then restart (don't forget the :4430 on your existing URL to get back into your test system).  You will now find that there are no login provisions, it is simply a website.  To access the admin simply add " /admin/ " at the end of the url, i.e. https://e-voice.org.uk:4430/winslowdistrictramblersgroup/admin/  You can then undo what you have done in the "Look & Feel" if you want.

I have suggested this approach as it will not affect your website.  Once you have satisfied yourself that it works and it is what you want, you can then replicate the process on your main site.  If there are no login provisions then you shouldn't get requests for membership.

Hope this helps.
