Hi,
I seem to be having issues creating images in the asset's library, images seem to upload correctly but when you try and place in a page or as a related item they do not display. On closer inspection, it looks like the public URL may not be creating properly?
For example, the following did not work:
https://www.hexhamphotographic.org/assets/images/hospital-exhibition-group-1.
https://www.hexhamphotographic.org/assets/images/hospital-exhibition-group-2.
https://www.hexhamphotographic.org/assets/images/hospital-exhibition-group-4.
However, the one below did...
https://www.hexhamphotographic.org/assets/images/hospital-exhibition-group-3
It seems those that did not work all have a full stop at the end of the URL no idea why?
Hi, strange when I click on all your examples they work perfectly, maybe clear the cache in your browser.
Mike
Interesting, the links also work for me this morning.... I did manage to get them to upload successfully by putting them in as duplicates last night, that generated a fresh url that worked, so maybe it was browser cache related.
Strange though, as others on the forum have mentioned something strange recently with images too. There might be something odd going on that (as yet) I haven't been able to reproduce.
It'd be interesting if when adding images and anyone has a problem that they mention it and we can see if there really is something going wrong more regularly!
The dot on the end of the image URL shouldn't be a problem - Voice will ignore it. (for assets, any file extensions are silently ignored - so you could put .jpg on the end of the image URL if you wanted to. I can't remember exactly why we did this but I think it was to work around a bug in Firefox about a decade ago!!)
Thanks
Joe
