Because the Voice website replaces a previous one, we have printed literature pointing to a specific URL: plymouthmusicaccord.co.uk/CD/CD.htm
I have re-created ths page and added the content but of course it does not have the above URL. How can I either change its URL to that above or redirect the above URL to the new page (NOT part of the navigation menu)
Thanks,
Roger
Sorry for the slow reply. You also raised this on the User Group Zoom Chat today.
As it stands you can't quite do this, as Voice doesn't let you create files with extensions like .htm. Even if you try to create a page or redirect at /CD/CD.htm it will end up being published at /CD/CD-htm and so won't work for you.
I think I can make a small change though to allow the dot, which would then mean you could create a redirect at that location sending people to the new page.
Failing that, if you let me know where you what the new page is I will add the redirect in manually for you.
Thanks
Joe
Thanks, Joe - a redirect from www.plymouthmusicaccord/CD/CD.htm to https://www.plymouthmusicaccord.co.uk/book-cd/cd-content/ would work fine!
I'm not expecting a lot of people to be using this but if they have bought the book/CD (https://www.plymouthmusicaccord.co.uk/book-cd/) either through the website or previously I wanted the link to work.
Best regards,
Roger
Joe,
Please can you create a redirect as you suggested - as above!
Thanks,
Roger
Joe, I made an error in the URL I need redirected - it should be https://www.plymouthmusicaccord.co.uk/CD/CD.htm and a redirect from this to https://www.plymouthmusicaccord.co.uk/book-cd/cd-content/ would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Roger
Sorry for being slow in this Roger, what happened is that I spent some time trying to make the CMS behave nicely using upper case URLs and .htm extension so that anyone could create pages/redirects with upper case (or case insensitive) URLs.
Anyway that turned out to be a can of worms, so I've just added in this as a custom redirect for you instead!
Thanks
Joe
