1: How to get rid of recurring events in the events calendar

I have tried experimenting with adding events in a quicker way but have found the that recurring events do not show up in the calendar so that is no good.

I now want to delete recurring events but cannot find a way of doing this. Any suggestions welcome.

Recurring events certainly should show up in the calendar, and should also be perfectly easy to delete - can you show me an example an event where this isn't working?
