1: includelets

I have been using e-voice for our village hall website successfully for almost six years.  However, I cannot produce includelets on Bootstrap or Modern since I changed the look and feel.  I would like to include Latest News but following the usual procedures, which the layout page and documenting information under "News story" nothing comes up on the home page.  On the layout page, the titles are in white which means it should be published, I think!

I'm also having this problem. I've only just started using e-voice so may have done something wrong but I cant get 'Latest News' to show news items on the home page. I'm using the Bootstrap theme.
