Under the Our Files application I am uploading a series of files e.g. Minutes of meetings how can I get them to be in chronological order -its driving me madEmbarassed

Sorry - no I'm afraid it isn't possible to set the default sort ordering for files to be chronological.

As it looks like you may have discovered, the "solution" to this is to ensure that the filename has the date in it too, e.g.,

2015-03-16 Minutes.doc
2015-03-23 More Minutes.doc

That way when it is sorted alphabetically it will be in date order.
