Ridgeway Relay

This is an off-road summer race that we'd like to encourage more club members to take part in

When is it?

This year's Ridgeway Relay is being held on 28 June 2020.

How to enter

If you would like to sign up to run a leg of the relay for any of our teams please complete the online form.

What is it?

The Ridgeway Relay is a team relay, organised by Marlborough Running Club. It is run over ten legs, the legs varying in length from 5.4 miles to 11.0 miles. The route leaves The Ridgeway itself some 2 miles before Overton Hill and continues across Fyfield Down to the finish in Marlborough.

At least two of the legs must be run by a female runner. For ladies teams up to two of the legs may be run by a male runner. The route is scenic, hilly and off-road. Teams are responsible for their own route planning and support on the day and we strongly advise that you recce your leg in advance!

View the race pack (pdf format) - note that this is from last year but it should still be the same for this year's event. Find out more on the Marlborough Running Club website.

Who can run?

We are entering two teams. Once we know who is running we will organise the two teams as below:

  • men's / mixed (must have two women)
  • vets 50+ (must have two women)
  • women's (can have up to two men)

How much does it cost?

The club pays for entry to this race for members.
