YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY FOOTBALL TEAM!

And update from the Chairman, Oliver Witney

WE ARE THE RIDGE. Summer Successes

This month (May) starts the end of the season where games start to lessen but tournaments gain momentum. We have had a really great season at Totteridge FC, with plenty of goals throughout the year.

Very recently, since Easter, we have started a mini kickers with U7s and U8s which is getting more popular. We hope to continue this after the summer, on outside pitches.

The U10s started new this year after splitting from the now U11s and have done excellent in their new group, going from strength to strength. This has been so successful that we want to start a new team. They also got to the semi final of the Chinnor tournament before losing to the eventual winners.

With the U11s struggling at the mid point in the season the team has come back refreshed and roaring to go and we hope they have some really successful tournaments.

With the previously issue explaining the U12s splitting into two teams, they both finished in the top halves of their respective leagues and will go onto do very well in local tournaments.

The U13s finished joint 3rd in their division, only 5 points behind 2nd. They then got to the quarter finals at the Chinnor tournament, also losing to the eventual winners.

The U14s finished runners up in division 3, only 5 points behind the winners, but with 14 wins out of 19 it was a superb achievement and the team will go onto do brilliantly next season.

The U16s were winners in division 4 under the helm of Tak. A superb achievement by the squad.

The league has only just finished but we already have to start getting ready for next season which starts in September. We have had players enquire with us for months who we have had to put on a waiting list or turn down because we do not have more volunteers to help run the teams.

We have a number of U8s players that want to start joining the league in September as an U9s team. We have numbers to create a second squad of U9s/10s (maybe splitting them), and we have almost enough players to have a second squad of U13.

We have spaces available for players in our U7s and U8s sessions, so please get in touch if anyone is interested in these sessions.

If you are interested in joining, either as a player or volunteer, please contact myself, Oliver Witney on 07706888441. We provide full training and support, including training up to UEFA C qualifications. Any parents volunteering their time also pay no registration fees for their children at the club.
