Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust

QVR March 2026

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust has completed the purchase of the Queen Victoria Road site from Buckinghamshire Council. This marks a major step forward in plans to develop more neighbourhood based care for people across the High Wycombe area. The trust along with partners in the council, primary care, voluntary sector and mental health have committed to delivering neighbourhood health.

The large site offers flexibility for a wide range of future uses with existing buildings that can be adapted. The location includes around 180 parking spaces and an opportunity to move some services out of the Wycombe Hospital site.

The trust will not start using the new site for around a year while Buckinghamshire Council continues to use the existing buildings. The time will be used to work with partners, the public and staff to develop detailed proposals  and build on existing discussions. (09-04-26)

Lucas Road Litter Pick on 14th March 2026

Lucas Road Litter Pick 14-03-26

Saturday morning's litter pick in Lucas Road saw several sacks of rubbish collected from both the road and adjoining woods and park. Litter continues to be an issue across High Wycombe as with many other areas and the amount collected shows this was a valuable and much needed event. The volunteers collected a large amount of waste some of which had just been dropped but other larger pieces were found. These include car parts, children's toys and a lawnmover to name but a few. Well done to all who took part and for the road organisers and High Wycombe Community Board for making this a successful event. (14-03-26)
