MEFAS is currently short of volunteers who are willing and able to give up a Saturday or Sunday to provide First Aid cover at local events. Volunteers need a current First Aid certificate

or in training to support an experienced First Aider at a fete, sports event or any other event at which public attendance is a necessity.  

This summer MEFAS attended events at Corpus Christie (fete and football), Richmond Park for Bikes Across Cultures and Claygate music evening (tribute to Dave Bowie) with more events planned in the Autumn.

Unfortunately, MEFAS has had to turn down many enquiries to provide event cover through lack of volunteers. If you want to make a difference in the community, please contact Christine as there is a serious lack of trained First Aiders to support other voluntary or charity organisations raising funds in the borough and surrounding areas.
