Church Flowers
The flowers in St Thomas' Church are arranged by a very talented group of flower arranges.
Throughout the year there is a rota of two week periods where the allocated flower arranger arranges flowers at the Altar pedestal and the pedestal behind the Font. On special festivals like Easter, Harvest and Christmas all the flower arrangers help to fill the church full of beautiful displays. Occasionally we hold Flower Festivals to celebrate special occasions of to raise funds for specific projects.
During Lent and Advent we have no flowers in church as Lent is the time for preparation for Easter through prayer and penance, alms giving, and self-denial. Advent is a similar time of waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus.
Our flower arrangers also provide a full service for weddings and other special services on request.

Due to the Coronvirus situation the flower arranging course has had to be postponed for the time being, the course will start again as soon as possible.
