The latest version of Widdington Village's emergency plan: Emergency Plan (Updated October 2023).

The emergency plan is designed to cover any general emergency that may affect the village.  The plan was last used during the Covid 19 pandemic to help support the vulnerable members of our community.

The Emergency Plan is written and co-ordinated by volunteers within the village and includes a list of support volunteers and includes a list of resources that have been offered by the local community in case of emergency.

Widdington Parish Council have also purchased resources for use during an emergency.  This includes salt bags that can be used by local residents, if salt bags are required please contact the clerk at clerk.widdington.pc@gmail.com or the emergency plan co-ordinator (shown in the document above).

Essex County Council are responsible for filling the salt bins on Hamel Way and Cornell's lane, the salt in these can also be used by residents in freezing weather.  If they are empty please contact Essex Highways and notify the Clerk at Widdington Parish Council (please not Widdington Parish Council cannot fill these bins, it is solely the responsibility of Essex County Council).
