Kindly hosted by the Coladangelos, Roberto began the afternoon with some pointers on reading and interpreting tide tables, the pros and cons of various types of boats, where you can get to on your boat (lots of pubs, as it happens!) and some dos and don'ts regarding mooring and security. Carolyn Bloore, one of the original tidal Crane River Clearers in the 1970s, described actually taking a family of 6 on holiday on the Thames on their cruiser, starting from the bottom of their garden!
We have set up a page giving the information and useful links contained in the afternoon's leave-behind and you can see pictures from the afternoon here.
