Scratch Choir for Lent
Please have a word with Mairi or Judith our organists if you'd like to join in with the scratch choir. First Sunday in Lent this year is the 1st of March and there will be short rehearsals at the end of the service on the Sundays in February.
Collecting Used Stamps for Charity
Please save the stamps from the Christmas cards you receive! Trim the stamps from the envelope leaving a border between half a centimetre and a centimetre in thickness and bring them to church and pop them in the box at the back of the sanctuary. They will then be sent on to Crossreach, the Church of Scotland social care arm. Damaris is coordinating this effort.
Rainbow Club Daycare would like volunteers
Rainbow Club are currently short of volunteers, so if anyone is interested in coming along for a couple of hours to help with teas and chatting with folk between 10.30am and 2.30pm Monday to Friday, please phone Jackie or Wilma on 0131 343 6643 or pop in at Drylaw Church during the day on a week day.
Thank yous from the Food Bank and Dr Graham's Homes
Donations for Fresh Start?
If you have any donations of household items for Fresh Start please speak to Barbara McIntyre. One of the aims of Fresh Start is to involve local church members in their work to help people avoid homelessness, so anything going their way from Drylaw will be much appreciated.
Flower Fund donations please!
Any donations for our flower fund would be gratefully accepted. Please give your donation to Jean Punton.
Would anyone like to join the rota to do readings in church? Please speak to Jill McIntosh about this if you are interested. We would very much like to have some new voices involved.
Please use this leaflet to make a request for prayer. Jenny and/or a prayer team will then ask God for love and help for people and situations where you have noticed that there is need; and the congregation may add their prayers.
