“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength . . . Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”
We still need to protect the vulnerable amongst us please continue to be respectful of those.
At this time donations for the running of the church have severly dropped, if you normally donate or wish to start to donate to the upkeep of the church you can donate by a standing order or give your envelope or money through the doors of the treasurer Laurie or to a Churchwarden.
With all blessings,
Rev Steven Poss
Churchwarden David Thorpe
Churchwarden Theresa Reed
And all the PCC
Welcome to the Church of St Thomas Bradwell-on-Sea a happy friendly church offering a warm welcome to all.
We normally have services every Sunday, 10-30 communion on the first and third Sundays, 10-30 All Age services on the second Sundays, 8-00 Holy Communion and 10-30 Family Services with songs for the children on forth on the forth Sunday. On the first Sunday we also had an afternoon service at the Down Hall Care Home at 15-30. On the fifth Sunday we had a joint service with St Lawrence Church, St Nicholas Tillingham or St James' at Dengie.
The parish is proud to support our Church school that has very close links to our church community. The school regularly used the church facilities for services and meetings.
We have an active and enthusiastic team of Bell ringers who practiced each Friday at 8pm, and rung for all Sunday services, and a choir that met on Friday evenings at 18:30pm, after we get back to normal all are welcome to come along.
There is a Thursday Group which is a social group open to all in the parish who wish to meet and chat or have meals together. The group either met in the church or went out for a meal on the first Thursday in the month.
We have an excellent group of flower arrangers who will continue to arrange flowers in the church each week and at all the church festivals. We also have beautiful Flower Festivals on special occasions.
St Thomas Church also support and maintain St Peters Chapel where we had a Communion Service each Thursday at 9am (except for December and January), Sunday Evening Services in July and August at 6:30pm and special services throughout the year.
