The Harvest Supper hosted by St.Thomas’ Church on Saturday October 24th.
Forty three people filled the Committee Room of the Village Hall to enjoy the result of the labours of members of the PCC and congregation of St.Thomas’ Church. And enjoy it they did. After a thoughtful and prayerful message from Revd.Brigid Main, the first course of carrot and coriander soup was served with hunks of different types of bread, after which the guests proceeded on to jacket potatoes, ham and plenty of fresh salad to which they helped themselves from bowls on the tables. None meat eaters were catered for as well with a home made vegetarian quiche. There was a choice of dazzling home made deserts over which pudding buffs could really indulge as so much was provided.
The tables looked attractive with small displays of roses down the centres, with toning napkins. The atmosphere was delightful, friendly and warm and presented an opportunity to meet up with old friends, and enjoy the company of new ones.
A big thank you is due to all those hard working members who provided such a memorable evening.
